Kenneth S. Hamilton, Jr., 84, of Chicopee, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Chestnut Hill in East Longmeadow.  He was born on January 19, 1939 in Holyoke and was the son of the late Kenneth S. Hamilton, Sr. and Natalie J. (Kurowski) Hamilton. Kenny worked as a cook at various restaurants. He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the U.S. Coast Guard.  Kenny was a great cook, enjoyed playing computer games and loved taking care of his cat and dog.  Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Kenneth S. Hamilton, III.  Kenny is survived by his caretaker and friend, Francis Asselin, his friend, Laurie Cote and his former wife, Diane Ashworth.  Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 10 to 11 am, at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee.  A committal service with military honors will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery at 11:30 am.
