Michael W. Taft, 59, of Granby, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. He was born on May 25, 1964 in Chicopee and was the son of the late Carl and Beverly Mae (Kelley) Taft.  Michael was an environmental control supervisor at Agri-Mark for thirty-nine years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and camper, who loved the outdoors. Some of his favorite places to travel include Salisbury Beach, Key West and Ireland with his family and friends. Mike was a true Vikings Fan and a long-time member of the Chicopee Tiger’s A.C.  He will be remembered as welcoming everyone he met with open arms, boasting his Irish heritage. A devoted husband, a loving father, a loyal brother and a genuine friend to all.  He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Anne (Charbonneau) Taft; two sons, Bradley Taft and Colin Taft and his wife, Rachel; a daughter, Renee (Taft) Curtis and her husband, David Curtis; two brothers, John Taft and Frank Taft and his wife, Dottie; a sister, Heidi Woods and her husband, Leon and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 31^st from 3 to 7 pm at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 pm at the Chicopee Tiger’s A.C.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Chicopee Tiger’s A.
