Ronald W. Kusek, 68, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born on July 8, 1955 in Holyoke and was the son of the late Edward W. and Jean (Hovey) Kusek.  Ron was an accountant at Hartford Steam Boiler and was previously employed at Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.  Ron loved trips to Florida and Cape Cod with his wife and friends.  He is survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Lisa M. (Krzyminski) Kusek, two brothers, Robert Kusek of Holyoke and Michael Kusek of Cummington, his niece, Amanda Kusek and her husband, Frank Hanley of Queens, NY; nephews, Christopher Kusek and his wife, Kim of East Greenwich, RI and Jonathan Kusek of Holyoke; best friends, Thomas and Doreen Phelan of Chicopee, their son, Daniel Phelan and their daughter, Marsha Vaughn and her husband, Jay and their daughters, Ron’s two most special girls, Nora and Ellie. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Susan Kusek. Calling hours for Ron are on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 9:30 to 11am at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee. A memorial service will be held at 11am at the funeral home.
