CHICOPEE Victor G. Latvis, 79, of Chicopee passed away on August 7, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on October 6, 1943 in Newburgh, NY and was the son of the late Victor W. and Emily (Kaizek) Latvis. Victor was a Vietnam Air Force veteran and also served in the Air National Guard. After military retirement, Victor was a Chemical Technician for Bayer. He is survived by his son, Roger V. Latvis and his partner, Suzanne Durocher of Westfield; daughter-in-law, Louise Latvis of Danforth, ME; a brother, Lawrence Latvis of Rome, NY; sisters, Kate McCavitt of Arizona and Lyn Smith of Chicopee; two grandchildren, Alysha Moyer and Benjamin Latvis and a great grandson, Weston A. Moyer. He is predeceased by a son, Andrew Latvis in 2014. Victor’s burial with military honors will be on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 10 am at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. in Agawam.
