William R. Parks, 87, of Chicopee, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at the Holyoke Soldier’s Home in Holyoke. He was born on March 1, 1936 in Sayre, Pennsylvania to the late Walter and Jessie (Newton) Parks. William was a twenty year Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife of twenty seven years, Joan (Thibodeau) Parks; a son, Randy Parks; two daughters Cindy Parks and Claudine “Dee Dee” Edwards; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Family and friends will gather at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home, 69 East St. in Chicopee, on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 8 am to proceed to the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam for burial with Military Honors at 10 am. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, July 19th from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home with a service at 6 pm.
