Wiltrudis “Trudy” G. (von Hellborn) LaBrie, 82, of Chicopee, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Willimansett Center West. She worked with her daughter as a travel agent at All Seasons Travel for many years. Trudy was born on January 22, 1937 in Berlin, Germany and was the daughter of the late Helmut and Dorothy (Hoffmann) von Hellborn. Trudy enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening, especially camping in Otis. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Lionel “John” Labrie. She is survived by her partner of twenty-nine years, Ronald LaRue of Chicopee, a daughter, Gabriele Kormannshaus of Springfield, her son, Claus Kormannshaus of New York, her grandson, Captain Craig Kormannshaus and his wife, Yolie of Charlotte, NC, her sister, Gotlinda Putz and her husband, Gunther of Germany. Special thanks to the Sr. Caritas Cancer Center, Cindy Leonard and her wonderful staff for their valent effort. Calling hours for Trudy are on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls from 10 to 11 am. Her burial will follow at Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
